So some time has went by since i last wrote anything. . . wasnt much in a writing mode! Been kinda down latly not sure why but just down, like just something im missing somekind of emptyness.
Anyway i had my first radiation treatment yesterday at like 12:30am it went really really really fast! Like less than five minutes but the prep and the wait was along time! But the people that are administering the radiation are really nice and its a pain in the butt getting set up on the table and i have green and black marks all over my left leg and its just icky and i’m not aloud to wash them off until all 31 treatments are finished. Did i mention that i hate isolation like seriously really really badly! But yeah my next radiation treatment is on the 14th of february (otherwise known as valentines day) at 4 pm so i get taxied over there and then taxied back from the stollery.
Oh i didnt even mention my fantastic first night back in the hospital right after treatment! So i get here around 4pm and then i get hooked up at 5pm to start hydration and they tried to accesses me twice and got it the second time at 5pm! But remember when i get accessed i have emla or maxinline cream on for at least 30 minutes and i dont really feel like stick me with a one inch needle! But after i finished chemo like around 11:45 pm my I-VAD was feeling funny and kept machine my machine beep alot and it turns out that we just had to wait for a while and just see what happened. So around 1:45am my night nurse decided to pull my needle out a little to see if the flow would be better and when she left it started hurting a lot so we had to call her back and she just pulled it out and decided she was going to have to re- accesses me without any numbing cream imediatly. So she tried to accesses AND SHE MISSED and omg the pain you get when your accessed without any numbing cream at all is terrible its like someone is literally driving a knife straight into your chest and then turning it and pulling in and out. OMG and knowing that she missed did not help me and i was half asleep i mean this is like 2 am at this point so she runs off to get another nurse to try and access me and THANK GOD she got it in one shot but when she put the needle in i could feel it even more! So i was awakened at 2 in the morning just to get re accessed twice without any numbing cream and i didnt get to sleep because of the pain until like 5:20am. NICE HUH!
